Patti Baker is a design talent and project leader. She is recognized for forging strong client relationships and delivering exceptional award-winning projects. Patti joined Backen & Backen Architects as Director in 2019 to support the firm’s evolution and growth in Southern California while providing a full-time local presence and leadership to our clients, the projects, and the team. Since joining Backen & Backen, Patti has worked closely with Howard Backen collaborating on numerous significant projects throughout Southern California.   

With 30 years of experience in architecture, Patti leads significant residential and hospitality projects in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties. Recent projects include estates in Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Brentwood, and Montecito, a winery and event barn in Santa Barbara County, and a luxury mountain resort.
