Inspired by the local rural horse barn and vineyard agricultural building style, with a more contemporary feel, while also blending natural materials from the site. By preserving a seasonal stream that crosses the site, we took advantage of the ecosystem to create a grand approach for guests. The winery consists of 3 modern barn forms, consisting of hospitality, production, and barrel cellar. Each building is clad in local stone, bald cypress wood and surrounds the central courtyard in a grand u-shape. Walls of glass open to create one massive open space from the exterior, through the interior, to the other side again.
